Strange Question

Four days ago, after dinner at a restaurant, my relatives decided to have dessert at another restaurant within the same vacinity. We settled for a quaint restaurant that they spotted en route to dinner. As the restaurant was small and there wasn't a table that could fit 11 people, we opted for the outside table. For some reason, everything about that particular restaurant was small, including the tables. We had to joined six tables together in order to fit the 11 of us. As my relatives live abroad, they have a fondness for local dessert.

After finishing his durian "roll", my nephew was still craving for something else. He decided to order Bubur Cha Cha. However, the waiters were not looking our direction. Hence his father told him to walk into the shop to place the order in BM. Having lived abroad since small, he does not know how to speak BM. So his father taught him a line on the spot.

N Father: Tell the waiter "Bubur Cha Cha satu mangkuk" (which means ones bowl of bubur cha cha).

Nephew: (repeats after dad) (walks in to place his order)

When he came out from the shop...

N Father: How did it go?

Nephew: I ordered in BM and she replied in English.

N Father: What did she say?

Nephew: She asked me which table.

N Father: Ok.

After a short moment...

N Father: That was a strange question. We're the only table here.

Niece: Which table number did you choose? Table 16,17,18,19,20,21?

Everyone: (laughs)

*None of us realised that the waitress' question was peculiar until my Nephew's father poited it out.
